snow day

We don’t get a lot of snow in Louisiana. So when we do, we play!

This beautiful kiddos here are my some of my brothers and sisters (there are 11 of us total – steps, halves, reals). Fun fact: there is a 20 year difference between me and the baby! Growing up with these guys has been a blast! Four different personalities – four wonderful kids! I wouldn’t be the same without them. 🙂

When the meteorologist mentions freezing temperatures and wintery precipitation in Louisiana schools close almost immediately. These guys had a chance to play all day and I jumped in on the fun when I got off work (hospitals never close)!

What’s better than a snowball fight?! She likes to get the first snowball thrown and then run away! She’s too cute!

We also took the opportunity to make snow angels! It’s been years since I’ve made a snow angel and they have never had the chance. They loved it! #snowangels #firsttimeforeverything

When God gives you snow day, you build a super cute, kind of creepy snowman. LOL! Love my adorable snowman! My fun with the kids started with this guy (my brother was jealous of my awesome snowman building skills). So I went down the street to show them how it’s done.

Acting like a kid is so much fun! I tend to get lost in the everyday hustle and bustle of work, home, life in general. These kids will never understand how much I value them and how much I truly appreciate their goofiness, laughter and smiles. They keep me a kid at heart. Sometimes I need a reminder to let go of the stress & troubles and have some fun.

Be a kid. Be goofy. Have some fun. Life is too short.
